I have just traded in my trusty Transit Autosleeper Pollensa for a Renault Master based Cipro 85. I don't get the van until the 11th (a long wait!)

I noticed that the handbrake lever is bare metal IE it doesn't have a cover. I queried this with the dealer who stated that they are like this.

Can anyone on here who has one of these confirm this and if they are is it possible to get an after market cover ?

Thanks

John

We've had out Chausson Allegro 83 on a Renault Master from new and it doesn't have a cover. Haven't felt the need for a cover. We really like the Renault base vehicle, hope you do.

We have a bare naked one as well. I found I kept catching my ankles on it when turning the seats round so put some foam pipe lagging stuff over it. Dog loves to mank it up every weekend though so going through it at a rate of knots!

Am not sure they could do a cover as it drops down flat well ours does if yours is same one so chairs can swivel round.

My Cipro 85 (2007 build year) has a hard rubber cover on the hand brake handle.
BUT - if you aren't careful it is clipped by the seat swivel plate when you rotate the driver's seat and the upper surface is scored as a result.

We have a cushion cover which fits over the handbrake when the seat is turned round. Usually stow it when on the move but may yet get round to making an opening to allow it to remain full time

Chausson Allegro 83 too. Never had a problem with our "naked" handbrake. It tucks down to the floor and we have never noticed it in the way at all

Ours too is 'naked' although it did come with a gay piece of vinyl with press-studs to hide it's modesty... courtesy of Adria. Shocked needless to say I removed it.

Burstner Delphin 686 on renault too we're naked (hand brake that is)haven't had problems, maybe the seat is a tad higher so doesn't get in the way.
Nice to know there's other renault owners out there.

Never had a problem with ours on a Lunar.

It drops down nicely to clear the swivel seat.
