Just returned with our Chausson Allegro 83 on Renault. First major service and 2nd MOT = £335.79
In the words of the Motorhome dealer MMC(Midgleys) of Skipton a very rare case nothing to do. He was very complementary of Renault.
First step in our plans for our winter relocation to Spain, January.
Next it's water ingress check at Discover and habitation at Leisuretech who'll also fit 12V freeview and other bits and pieces.

£335.79 for doing nothing? Hmmm, I spend a lot of my time doing nothing: I'll be sending invoices ut next week.
Yes it is the Nissan/ Renault/Vauxhall design but is sold under the Renault badge in our case just as Fiat/Peugeot/Citroen have a joint design.
If you read the message it's Major service and MOT and the prices haven't been seperated.
We're very happy with the price when you hear of some charges mentioned on here and we're really happy we didn't need to have any extra jobs done over and above the Major service and MOT on a four years old vehicle. Our C3 at 2 years old and first service (I'm not classing 1000 mile check as a service) cost us £240 as we needed discs and pads as they were scored and Citroen didn't want to know on guarantee-wear and tear.
To be fair the 3.0 wasn't a joint venture jobby, it was lifted straight from Nissan to temporarily plug a gap. Replaced by the 150hp version of the 2.5TD
That's probably cheaper than a Fiat major service.
But to be honest all servicing is a rip off. The only thing they do is change the oil and make a few superficial checks. An annual oil change with fully synthetic oil, oil filter and safety check at ATS Euromaster costs about £70. Kwik Fit do likewise but you have to find a depot with ramps that can take a motorhome.
That is how I get my vehicles serviced after the warranty period expires.
Going way off topic now, but I used to own a 1934 Jowett Kestrel and there were, if I remember right about 35 grease nipples on it ..... and then all the wheel spokes had to be checked for tightness ..... no air cleaner element though: it just sucked in all the flies and grit and spat 'em out the other end.
No oil filter either, you just changed the oil about every fortnight .......
I have been messing about with vehicles from the age of 13 and have restored a couple of classic cars.
When I worked in a garage on a Saturday morning as a student job in the 1960's I used to service cars. Grease nipples needed grease every 1000 miles and an oil change every 1000 miles. An oil filter was needed every 3000 miles. An air filter had no paper element; the air filter housing was stuffed with metal wire and you had to remove it and wash it in paraffin, dry it out and replace.
If the gearboxes were noisy we filled them up with grease and if the engine bearings rattled we filled the sump with SAE90 (axle oil). If the axle was noisy we stuffed it with nylon stockings which when mixed with oil transformed in to a paste. If bearings in the water pump were noisy we'd fill the radiator with washing up liquid and if radiators leaked Radweld was used.
You could keep the mechanics of a vehicle going for a long time but in the end rust was the enemy. Then you filled up holes in the floor with fibreglass or manufactured metal plates and then covered the repair with underseal.
This service in Spain by a main Renault dealer costs 163.99 euros. Wait till you have to replace wiper blades you need a lottery win because the washer jets are part of the blades
