Canon IXUS - about 2 years old

LCD screen will not display the pic you are trying to take. Its all vertical lines.

But when you take pic and go to review, the LCD shows a brilliant display. The picture taken can then be downloaded.

As the camera is old I was planning to remove the casing (about 8 screws) open it up and see what happens.

Any thoughts anyone???

Its possibly a loose connection somewhere, as the initial view is the digital image of the viewfinder, the review is just that a review of the taken image, If you take it apart, (I would) be prepared to purchase a new camera.

Oh look its almost Christmas, good news, loads of good bargains.

I had a similar fault. Good excuse for a new camera. Its amazing how the technology moves forward, even in just two years Wink Very Happy
