Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a digital slr but can anyone tell me the difference between an eos 400d and an eos digital rebel xti.

Many thanks,

Merry Christmas to you all,

Simon. Smile Smile

Absolutely nothing Simon.

It's just called the Rebel XTi in North America.

Over here its the 400d. If you see an XTi advertised it will have originated from the states.

The 400D is a very old camera.

Its only just 3 years old Gerry.

Still an outstanding 10mp CMOS sensored SLR for beginners/keen amateurs.

You might be interested to look at these on the Canon outlet siten on ebay.

I have bought all my Canon kit on this site and have never been disappointed. There is still a 12 month Canon warranty.

The 450Ds look interesting as a start up SLR.

Agree with that and the 450d is a real top end "starter" SLR.

Great site and I've recommended it many times - I got a 5D body from there for £880 when they were still going for £1300 elsewhere.
Best bargain was a £3600 projector for £900.

If you buy a Rebel Xti badged 400D you may have trouble getting any warranty work done here in the even of something going wrong and I doubt if you'll have any comeback under the Sale of Goods Act either.

Have a look at the early 1d models. Its only 4mil pixel but these are the sort of results it will return, albeit with a top quality L lens
