Unless you do, don't buy these books from the Caravan Club.

I bought the 2007 edition by mistake (along with the Caravan Europe guides which are now published, in spite of what it says on the CC website).

My own fault. In a hurry and assumed it was the tourist guide - but of course they are always green. Rolling Eyes

Plonker I am!! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

So as a dedicated motorhomer I get a guide to hotels which is utterly useless to me.

It doesn't even provide me with information that I don't want. Rolling Eyes

The whole book is in Dutch!! Shocked Crying or Very sad

A bit naughty of the CC I think. Nowhere did it mention that it was not in English. Shocked Shocked

I think they'll be covered under the Distance Selling Regulations - as you had no chance to examine before buying, you just need to notify them within (I think) 7 days that you want to return them. (You don't have to return them within the 7 days.)

You may have to pay return postage costs - depends on their stated Terms & Conditions.

Exactly- not fit for purpose and (strictly speaking) I would say misleading description if CC didn't say they were in Dutch.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I wonder if I can be bothered, specially as I have since done what I should have in the first place . . . . and bought a 1997 edition of the Green Guide off eBay for £2.74 including postage. Exclamation Laughing

(Historic buildings don't change much in 10 years, so no worries there!)

I have probably had my revenge on the CC by posting on here anyway! Cool Rolling Eyes

I am usually quite supportive of the CC (with certain reservations Shocked Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes ) and am generally pretty satisfied with the services they offer to members, but I did think that was a bit sneaky.
