Last Monday madam decided to bend the van round a gatepost, she has driven past twice a week for the last - oh hundred or so years. She forgot she was in the van and not in the Peugeot 206, which was having mech defects sorted.

The off side centre panel is now dented and with two ripples, plus the hookup box cover ripped off and box distorted, plus the top fridge vent broken in half. I have got the parts, but now the decision on losing my no claims or cash job to repair it.

Anyone know a decent body shop in the Southampton/Winchester area as the two people I did know have since retired(1) and gone abroad (2)

My solution is to move the gatepost. Mine is being done as we speak.

I can empathise completely.
It is an accepted fact of life in our family that if we change the car Val will have to hit some thing within the first few weeks.
Bit like a dog scenting a lampost.
Problem is she usually chooses our Van.
Fortunately the rear and side skirt are sufficiently flexible to cause no damage to the Van but the car has to suffer minor repaint.
