We are planning a stop somewhere around the Brussels area in April on our return from Germany. Ideally an Aire near a town or village or a site with something for the kids to do. Any advice warmly welcome as always.

Hi,

there is a camp site called Camping Grimbergen to the north of Brussels, but I have never been there. It is closed in winter, but should be open in April.

The closest aire-type site to Brussels that I am aware of would be the one in Puurs. From the aire it is only a short walk to Puurs railway stations, from there hourly services to Brussels, travelling time about 45 minutes.
