We re planning to visit Austria this summer and have noted the posts on the GO box.

Our Mh (like many others)is properly nover 3500kgs and is based on a ducato with 2.8jtd. I think its prob euro 3 but I have looked through all our paperwork and cannot find anything to confirm or correct this.

Does anyone know where I can get the relevant bit of paper to satisfy the austrians?

Thanks
Jon

Ciao Jon,
you should be able to get a CoC from your motorhome manufacturer. You will need to give them the FIAT Vin number, and they should have it. May charge you though. Chausson charged me 100 Eurines for mine!
saluti,
eddied

If it's euro 3 or worse then you don't need to provide any evidence just get a Go-Box at the border.
It's only if you are euro4 or better and you want discount do you have to prove it. If you don't want the discount then don't bother!

If your over 3.5tonne then you pay per mile on Austrian motorways. The way to do that is purchase credit on a Go-box as you enter Austria, the Go-Box is free sort of Rolling Eyes The Go-Box is then interrogated every time you pass under gantrys on the motorway and your credit is slowly reduced, Leds on the box tell you when to top up.

If your under 3.5tonne then you just buy a fixed price Vignette for a fraction of the cost of the Go-box, and I'm not bitter or twisted Very Happy
