I have lost signal. The co-axial seems good where I can access it but how do I gain access into the aeriel itself to check that end?

The original installation instructions do not show the connection of co-axial at that end - is it hard-wired in some way?

Grateful for any help. Thanks

Geoff

I can't answer your question as when I fitted mine I didn't take much notice of the coax at the antennna itself, I just fed the coax down the tube. Have you measured the resistance at the plug on the end of the coax. It should be a virtual short circuit, if the cable had become detached within the antenna then it would be open circuit [ I realise that a short circuit in the cable would give the same reading as the antenna].
Have you plugged the antenna directly into the TV without the booster in circuit?

Ray , thank you for responding.

I tried your second suggestion first - I had not realised that was a possibility and got a signal and all programmes. Went back via booster and all was still OK - I must have missed a loose connection on first check. It may still be dodgy but at least I now know it is not at the antenna end.

Well done and many thanks.

Geoff
