We are experienced motorhomers in France, Belgium, Germany. We now intend to spread our wings. Trip this year France, Belgium, Germany, Czek, Aust, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Germany and home on non-motorway except return on A1/A10 through Austria in a 3500 kg Coachbuilt. We don't don't think we need any vignettes except for the Austrian motorway part. Do you agree and have any advice to offer.

Hi,
Not quite sure what you mean by vignettes but we've done all those countries other than Hungary and there were no particular procedures for any of them.

Have a look at >this site< for information about the tolls in Austria. Unless they have changed the rules I think you are correct. Because you are 3.5tons or under you will only need a vingnette. It used to be about 11euros but did not included tunnel tolls.

I went to Croatia some years ago and would love to go back, I wrote some notes >here<

We plan to go sth thru Germany , eventually into Croatia returning to UK ijust before all hell breaks loose ie the French Holiday period.

The problem is we leave in the middle of this week so hopefully someone will confirm that from what I have read on here, I should be able to pick up the Vignettes as we go and certainly before leaving Germany..

Am I right?

Also can anyone advise us of any pitfalls that we miight not yet even have thought of! We are experienced in France, Spain, Portugal and we even withstood a Moraccan Adventure unscathed!

This is correct and you can buy a joint/combined vignette at the Austrian border

Croatian motorways require a toll you can pay in Euro or Kn.
Austria and Slovenia require a Vignette readily available a fuel stops and at the border.
Enjoy!

I think that the minimum vignette in Slovenia is for 6 months at a cost of C. €35. We should be able to pass them on.

Not any more. One week for €15, one month for €30, one year for €95.

I can advise that if traveling from Germany through Czech Republic to Austria you will likely have to use the motorway and if you use any motorways in Czechland you will need a windscreen badge (vignettes Question) which you can buy at the border and at some (not all) petrol stations.

The minimum validity is one month, I'm not quite sure of the monthly cost but a yearly one costs about £30

I would advise using the motorways in Czechland if you want to get to your destination during this lifetime and not the next Rolling Eyes
