I have recently replaced my old Analogue TV with a new LCD flat screen model, that has built in Freeview.
Also I have a Humax PVR-9150T for recording & also a DVD recorder/player. As far as I know I connected them up as before, but now the volume control on the Humax does not work, also the DVD. Confused
At present I don't know if I'm viewing Freeview through the TV or the Humax, could that be the problem or have I got my leads in a twist?
Any advice on the connections for the above most welcome.

If you press the guide button and get the Humax EPG you are viewing through the humax. Try pressing the AV button on your TV remote, your humax and DVD will be on AV1 and AV2.

Sounds like you are viewing through the tv.

on your tv remote, there will be a button (symbol) is a square with an arrow, this is the button to change the source to the tv, (ext1, ext2, aux, tv).

I would hope that you have connected the Humax to the TV using HDMI. If that is the case, just select the correct HDMI on the TV and it should work.
If that fails, connect using HDMI and Scart to Scart1 on the TV. The TV will automatically switch to Scart1 when you power up the Humax box. Then use the Humax menu to correctly setup the HDMI port and switch to HDMI. Once you have doen this you can disconnect the Scart lead.

Hi Forrester,
if you have no sound control on the Humax you have the scart lead in the wrong socket. Swap them over and you will have sound control.
