I'm in Slovenia at the moment and will be going to the north which borders Austria. I see Graz is only about 50km over the border. Is it worth visiting for the day? And is it easy to avoid the toll roads to Graz from Maribor direction?

Hi Doc,

cannot tell you about the toll roads, but Graz is definitely worth a visit. And a day won't be enough.

For more details see here.

Best Regards,
Gerhard

Hi,

We visited the Lippizaner Stud Farm at Piber. Unfortunately we missed the training but did have a nice meal in the restaurant and a look round the stables, new foals, retired stallions and museum.

It was one of the places we wanted to visit after Slovenia.

Cheers,
Alan
