Yes, and already I've started taking it to bits. For anyone who'se just taken delivery of a new Transit based van, I thought I just had to rush in and post this. You CAN store the jack in it's proper place, I've explained at (great) length in the Ford Chassis forum, see 'Help, where's the jack kept?' Very Happy Very Happy

Well done! So it does fit!

We are getting the van out of storage this weekend to do a few jobs and generally poke around so we will have a go - will it turn into a 'Generation Game' type of challenge - I wonder??? Laughing

Yes, that was my point really. There is a dedicated space in the regular new Transit cab, under the driver's seat, and visible from outside when you open the driver's door. Not sure about the Exsis though. I don't think you are an A class, so the cab should be standard, and you probably have the handbrake moved to the RH side of the seat, which would be why your jack was put in the garage. The plastic cover to where the jack goes has a representation of a jack impressed on it, and my post in the Ford chassis forum explains how easy it is to remove trim and put it where it should be. The reason it is moved is because it won't fit precisely now, and requires very minor invisible and insignificant surgery. Not the sort of thing though that a fitter would be expected to do. Good luck, and be sure to check you don't foul the handbrake mechanism! I couldn't see the remotest possibility of this but you must assure yourself.

Scroll down the list of forums on the index page until you reach 'Mechanical and Technical', under which you'll find a sub-forum entitled Ford Chassis, and it should be fairly high up there.
