£200!

Mrs. TM and keys just do not go together. Last year in France @
www.lesnaiades.co.uk she lost her Audi Car key.

Have been putting it off for ages but just got a quote from Audi to supply and program a new Key = £200. Talk about masks and stripy jumpers.

The same happened on our last Merc Sprinter but it only cost me a bottle of Vintage red. I have a few contacts in the car industry but none in Audi. Just been on ebay and found someone who can do it for £75. Sadly in London 200 miles away.

Anyone had similar problems?

I only got one key with my Vauxhall Vectra, so made the used car dealer get me a spare which he did (free to me) but he was not prepared to have it programmed. So I went to Vauxhall dealer who quoted £42. I asked how long it took and he replied '2 minutes', not a bad hourly rate! I didn't get it done!

Just had to replace key for Citroen C3 after son had his coat stolen with key in pocket!

Cost £109 for key fob and £48 for programming key which took 20 mins.

Luckily the car had been left at home otherwise we'd have been replacing that!!
