We had a few days across the Channel (4 nights) via the tunnel from Saturday, and decided at the last minute to head to Belgium rather than the "planned" trip down the coast. After a night at the Calais Aire and a superb meal at the Au Cote D'argent, we were in Ghent in under 2 hours, and had 2 nights at Blaarmeersen campsite - as has been said before on here, a super set up in a big sports complex. Cycled in to town on Sunday, and bussed on Monday. A really nice town (apart from all the works in the centre on new tram tracks!).
Yesterday we went across country to Ieper (Ypers) - very moving seeing all those names on the Menin GAte - and these were the ones they couldn't identify - blown to bits Sad ..

We had to be at the tunnel by 10 thins morning, so we went across to Chataeu De Gandspette which now takes camping cheques, so we had a short run this morning to the Tunnel; I can recommend Ghent for a short break - easy to get to, and a good place for a few beers Idea Cool Laughing

Still sat here in front of the computer - it may be in the office, or on the laptop if I manage to get away from the office.

As far as I know, the only motorhoming Oxford United supporter in Bognor.

Glad you enjoyed it Mike.

Here is the Google Map I couldn't find to send you just before you went. It had disappeared from the list of "My Maps", but has suddenly reappeared again! Confused Rolling Eyes

Don't forget to have the boat trip on the canal system, well worth the small cost. Very Happy
