I'm getting very close to hitting the "Buy Now" button on a Honda EU10i. Does anybody out there use one of these? If so what do you think of it.

I use one most weeks, it has always started first time even after sitting for 3 months last year. Many of our friends have other makes and have all had various minor or major problems with theirs. Buy the Best you wont regret it

I bought one at Christmas for a planned extended trip to a CS with no EHU. In the event, snow prevented us from going and I have used the Honda only once in earnest since. So, my comments are based on very limited experience.

I think it is very well made and when used for modest output like powering the on-board charger, it makes very little noise. We had it running near the back of the van and could not hear it from inside. Even when pushed, it is not that noisy. I would not consider buying a cheaper one although I realise that many people are happy with their Kipors.

In case it is any help, I found Lings to be the cheapest at the time and they provided fast, efficient delivery. I note that their price is now within a pound of Edge Technology who also have a good reputation.

we use our EU10I only when we are in the Alps during the winter to keep our batteries topped up - using the 220AC output ( there is also the option of a 12v DC output if you buy the 12v lead)

they are excellant

I wouldnt look anywhere else if the output suits your requirements

& the newer ones have a 5 year warranty

We are very pleased with ours especially Mrs D as it is only ever used for her hairdryer when off EHU. Always starts first time and is reasonably quiet. The best choice in my opinion!

Thanks everyone ... went and got one today from a local Honda agent who was prepared to honour their "web only" price over the counter. Somehow I always feel a bit better about having someone "real" to go back to if their are problems.

Bought one in 2008 primarily for use in France Passions, wild camping etc, etc.

We used it steadily for about 3 months. Our van then sat in storage until April this year. We added petrol, pulled the cord a few times and it purred into life.

As noted before... it does what it says on the can... If only more things in life could be that reliable, forthright, honest and quiet!
