I've just treated myself to a new Leica V-Lux 20 digital compact. I'm a long time Leica fan and if anyone is interested in my M6 Titanium with 35mm f1.4 Summilux and 90mm f2.8 Elmarit, let me know. The camera is the special edition with lizard skin and the lenses are also titanium with matching serial numbers. It's a real collector's item and the price will reflect that of course!

Anyway, this new V-Lux is scary! I'll never learn to use all its features! The most impressive is built-in GPS so, when you take a photo, it records your location in the image's properties - how clever is that?

Forget where you took a snap and access the properties and it will say, Newquay, Cornwall, England or whatever!

12X optical zoom blah blah blah and all the rest but the GPS is just amazing! Who'd have ever thought that you'd have GPS in a camera?

Some one who's more up to date than I am will no doubt tell me that it's been around for ages but I'm still gobsmacked.

I'll get back to the 80-page instruction book!
