I've not read it through from cover to cover....... but in this weeks Travelzoo offers, a company called Wicked have an offer on motorhome hire prices for next autumn/winter.

Quote ".....winter special from the 1st October 2010 through to the end of February 2011 (excluding the Christmas period) which will see our vans being offered from £180 per week + VAT for a 2 seater and £240 per week + VAT for a multi-seater. We're practically giving them away! Check out the bookings page and make sure you put in at least a 7 day hire to get this special. "

Just a thought, in case any one was thinking of hiring, or looking for family to join them for a week or so.
