I was looking at these at the Northern Show yesterday. Has anyone any experience with them ? I was particularly interested in the W163DR.

The TVs are fine, albeit very expensive. For Aerials you will struggle to find better than these:
http://www.gradeuk.co.uk/store/product.asp?spc=04-3005/5&shel fid=44S45S1
The status aerials are tested and certified for handling Digital Switchover and are registered on the official website. No Avtex product is listed.

Been using a couple of W153s and have no complaints at all.

They have a DVD slot for kiddies and built in freeview, which often gives us in excess of 24 channels. We've never been unable to at least pick up BBC1 and ITV1 with the standard aerial.

Check the web for competitive prices.

We have a couple of their TV's and find them to be very good quality.

Furthermore, I have used the Avtex technical department to repair a 12v lead (F.O.C minus postage!) and the service was excellent.

Would definately recommend them.

Ill try to give you a opinion that doesnt sound too bias coming from a dealer lol

They are a company that looks after their dealers and our customers. Their products renown for their quality in the leisure tv market. Yes you are paying a price, but for that you currently get a 3 year collect and return warranty and an extreamly well built set full of features. There are not many leisure tv's that have a Sony panel for example! There are other very good sets out there, but I favour the Avtex and still see customers with Avtex sets 5 years old and still going strong.

In my personal caravan is a W163DR which I am very happy with - hope that helps!

You can get an Avtex digital arial from here;

http://www.telecodirect.co.uk/epages/es135063.sf/?ObjectPat h=/Shops/es135063/Products/%22AVTEX%20STH1000%20Digital%20TV%20Aerial% 22&ViewAction=ViewProductViaPortal&Locale=en_GB

I have one and find the reception excellent.

I have got one and no longer pack my freesat sat dish for weekends away, always a good reception with this aerial.

I have just bought one of these, using it with a Status aerial no problems whatsoever with digital freebies. Had a problem with poor reception when I first set it up - found out it was my mobile sat on the shelf by the Tv causing the problem.
