Can anyone help please - We have a Renault Master '07 motorhome (Cipro 85) and want to install the nice concertina blinds for the cab area. I have read somewhere that they can obscure the view to the side mirrors and don't want to spend in excess of £500 to find that I can't see to drive properly! From the Remis web site, I gather that the new Remis blinds that get round this problem can only be fitted to Fiat Ducato vans. Has anyone had the older blinds fitted to their Renault please and comments?
I have remis blinds fitted to an 06 Renault Master and frankly they are one of the best additions I have made. Bought from the UK dealer fitted myself in around 30 / 40 minutes. Just need to take care to line up then drill and fix with screws supplied. The only difficult bit was screwing down the centre bracket on the lower front screen rail because of the angle of the windscreen I stuck it down using double sided number plate tape then screwed it with a posi tip turned with a small ring spanner or buy an angled screwdriver. The cover for the top front screen rail slightly obscures if you are very tall but its no big problem. The side blinds are divided ie. a front blind for the quarter light and a larger rear for the opening windows but enclosed in the same one piece frame
there great BUT
some of these blinds for sale are for LEFT hand drive models and the screen one closes to the drivers side creating a bad blind spot, mainly as they are one piece.
Ours has one piece but goes to the passenger side I think the 2 piece screen are the best.
all the side windows are two piece its the front side window that creates a fan when closed , just use some velcro tape and its sorted .
The Burstner Delfin range have these as standard well worth the money for ease of use in spring to Autumn BUT you still need the external screen cover for winter.
Our 2005 Renault had these fitted as standard. There was a well known manufacturers fault on these early models, but since replacement, under guarantee, they have been great, so much so that, although we camp throughout the year, we haven't yet found a need to fit external silver screens.
They don't insulate as well as silver screens, of course, but the comfort level in our cab is quite acceptable with these drawn.
They provide instant privacy, are so easy to use and are also very good for stopping the heat build up, on sunny days.
I haven't experienced any problems with them obscuring vision.
The cover for the top front screen rail slightly obscures if you are very tall but its no big problem.

I can only just manage as it is, and I wonder if anyone who knows about these things is aware of a type which would not obscure the top of the screen . . . or is it a choice between Remis or Remis?
Confess I haven't looked into it at all, but this thread set me thinking how convenient they would be!
The cover for the top screen rail is only about 40mm deep and if it creates a vision problem that cant be overcome by lowering the seat and moving it back then dont fit it. The rail is only like a 10mm curtain track so not so bad to see. My blinds tuck away to either side nicely leaving no fan effect. The inner windscreen mouldings are part of the kit and the blinds just tuck into them. Mine were 350 pounds from the UK dealer when I bought them about 2-3 years ago. I will say again "One of the best buys I have made"
Hi we love our Burstner, but the one thing that I don't like is we don't have the blinds..............we had them in the Bolero and after now using the Burstner for a few weeks I certainly miss the blinds.
We are using the external screen now that the weather is colder, but even so the blinds used to make the cab look a lot more cosy on our other MH...........even in the daytime I feel that the cab doesn't have the same finished off feeling, and looks more like a van cab without them.
Does anyone have any idea of how much it would be to get them fitted ?

Had them on an 09 R/master,front screen divided to both sides,side windows,two piece. We now have a very nice A/S,on a Peugeot,but i would swop the Peugeot bit for the Renault,and the curtains for the Remis blinds,get 'em bought!.
