6 hours later and countless rejections I find myself here begging for help!

We want to stay in the Hague for 2 nights, we want to go to Madurodam, the miniature village...do you think anything is free???

I sit here in Droomgaard camping, its pissing down, its cold and the kids are driving me batty! Nothing to do when it rains sadly..... and after yesterdays Efteling adventure and walking back with a sore ankle, I havent been much joy! (its not THAT close!!).

So, help me please, can you suggest somewhere we can stay in the Hague that isnt totally booked out..... we will arrive in The Hague in Saturday. Its the last pitstop of our motorhome Magical Mystery Tour... its been fun, but I have to say, ive had enough... looking forward to my month of sun and fun in Greece.

Sorry to hear the weather is poor we are near there next week.
I have just book to stay at Delft at "info@delftsehout.nl" no problem with booking had to pay upfront, not cheap, within walking distance of the town, good train connections with bus from site to station hope this is some help.

You sound to have got to the stage that we get to at the end of a long tour. We reckon that if someone staged to Second Coming 100m up the road we'd probably not bother to leave the van to go and see.

Is is worth asking the reception at your current campsite to help ? They'll have a landline phone ( cheaper than a mobile) contacts and can speak the language. They'll also - perhaps- know of somewhere not actually in your destination but with a good enough train or bus link so you can do what you want to.

This might sound obvious Rita, but why not ask a Dutch family - assuming there are some on your campsite, and I'd be surprised if there are not! Wink

That's what we did when we needed advice, and they couldn't have been more helpful.

They even fed us a huge slice of home made apple cake while they argued among themselves about the best suggestions. Very Happy

Thanks, place looks great and we grabbed the last "super-comfort-pitch"..... My husband was born in delft!, so he says it cant be half bad hehehehe!!!

It is still cheaper than that hideous campsite we stayed at in Lake Garda, Bella Italia! My GOD, that place was huge, busy and noisy!...never again...

In Florence we stayed at the loveliest campsite ever!!! Happy to give reviews!
