We stayed a few years ago when we had a trailer tent at de Krakeling, in Zeist, just outside Utrecht. It's well situated in a wooded area, and there's a bus or train to Utrecht.

But I wouldn't recommend it - one night about 1.30 there was a very loud group of young teenagers wandering all round the site, for about an hour. When I mentioned it next morning in reception I was told it was "Nachtspele" (night games) organised by the site! Of course, they may not still run them...

Our resident German member 'Boff' (Gerhard) lives in Utrecht, you could pm him, but might be a while before he replies as I think he's on holiday at the moment. Heres a recent post of what to do in Utrecht by him...

If you are taking your motorhome, you will probably be in Europe longer than Celtic!

We are doing it the other way round, going to Germany first.
