1) If you have a dish on your wall, or for motorhome use, what advantage does Freeview HD have over Freesat HD? (Yes, I know Freesat can be blocked by a tree, but that is rarer than not being able to receive an adequate Freeview signal from the MH).

Result! Thanks, Gillian, that's the question I thought might be harder to get answered. Just need to check on whether I'm missing anything on Freeview over Freesat now
Thanks, Mike. It was stronger than that for me in that I thought there was more on Freesat, and going to be even more, at least in the short term. Quite how it will pan out after digital switchover, I am less sure.

You can also get all the non freesat channels, although you cant watch the scrambled ones.
go menu, manual tune, select all frequencies then scan.
go tv set up , stb mode select non freesat.
lots more rubbish to watch.
From a quick scan through the respective EPGs, it looks like all the major channels (Beeb, ITV, CH4, Five, Dave etc ) are on both.
Some (for me) minor differences on things like CNBC, True Movies, the "babe" channels etc, with FreeSat carrying more of these.
Mike
No you don't get Dave on Freesat I'm afraid. The Hummy PVR is great though. We've had ours nearly a year now so it's paid for itself in saving Sky fees. Briliant piece of kit.
