Excellent value for money. Sound and picture good and you can record via the usb. For an extra £10 you can get a 5 year warranty. I have mine coupled to 250 Gb HDD

Hi Rowley. Just gone out and bought one of these for the MH, what a bargain. Interested what you have to say about recording via the USB port. Being a bit of simpleton when it comes to this sort of thing, do you mean onto a usb sitck or onto one of those stand alone HDD things you can buy?

Just got back home and now setting it up.

First reaction.......picture quality is superb on both TV and DVD. Sound is not too bad given the price......there is however a COAX out DVD digital audio out but not discovered how to play with this. Probably for connecting to an external amplifier but looks like it will only work on DVDs though.

Have tried the USB port with a stick and it plays back video, music and photos well. Cannot see how it actually records onto a USB stick though.....maybe Rowly will be along later to explain all but there is nothing in the manual. Perhaps his external HDD has it's own "record in" facility to record from the TV.....certainly haven't got it to record to a USB stick yet.

Not a problem for us as our satellite receiver (Micro M30 USB/HDMI) has it's own USB recording facility and it is controlled from it's own remote control.

Not tried it yet on the M/H 12v supply. Little confused as to how to wire it in to the M/H as the 240v mains goes into the adaptor which steps the power down to the 12v input. We have a 1800w inverter fed from 2 x 135amp leisure batteries so might leave it working that way. Not sure if the inverter consumes more juice from the leisure batteries than a direct 12v supply from the batteries. Can any of the MHF tecchie minded guys advise here?

Cheers

Brent

Hi Brent, I am powering mine from the leisure system through a stabilised 12v supply. To operate the PVR mode you have to do it through Freeview.

Don't know the particular TV, but it will be identical to the Chinese TVs currently being sold by all retailers. Most of them have a recording facility where they can record a Freeview programme to a USB memory device. The device can be any USB powered memory stick we have found that generally there is insufficient power at the USB for a hard drive. A powered USB hard drive will work.
You can also set a timer to record while the TV is in standby. And some can do freeze programme and rewind programme.

I got one and fitted it last weekend the sound is better than our LCD Panasonic at home and far better than any other small tv we've had.

Excellent picture as well.
