Google Chrome views counted twice

Whenever I access a thread using Chrome, the "views" counter goes up by 2 rather than 1. Thinking that it might be because someone else had accessed the same thread at the same time, I have opened some old obscure posts and find the same thing happens. I have then tried with IE8 and Firefox, both logged in and not logged in, and the counter only goes up by 1. I have also connected using a different PC and the same thing happens with Chrome - i.e. one view is shown as 2. I'm running Windows 7 on both PC's.

very strange

Ben just did some tests

Opera / FF post counts as expected

IE8 / Chrome - 2 post views

Even if we set Opera to pretend it is IE (I different user agent) then the post count is still as expected

so it would seem something specific to the actual browser itself !!!

I have been using google chrome as my preferred browser for a couple of weeks now having previously been using IE8.

I find it to be quicker downloading in general and like the layout better,however when posting on here it won't allow italics or bold and any emoticons inserted in the middle of a reply always go to the end of the post

I now use IE8 for mhf when posting and chrome for all other web browsing Wink
