No but I am seriously considering it. Have looked at easy lifter and eze tow but the price is the main stumbling block as well as the level of complexity which inevitably raises the question of reliability.
The CRM is well constructed and a reasonable price for a trailer. The principal is good and the quality very high. My main question, lurking at the back of my mind is the difficulty in reversing the thing. However, as a designer myself, I think I have a cheap and easy solution for that problem. I will go for the CRM
I've recently acquired a 125cc scooter and a CFM side loading trailer.
The trailer really is built to last. Side loading is via a removable ramp which is carried across the frame. I've run the bike up it using the engine but B and me can push it up with ease and that's the normal way now.
You need to get the latest mod of horizontal bar for holding the bike upright.
I've found the trailer in use is as stable as I could ever wish.
Reversing is not easy as I cannot see the trailer. Backing a metre or two is as nothing i.e. when adjusting a misjudged turn into our gates. However the easiest way was to unhitch [make sure you have a large inflatable jocky wheel for ease of rolling on rough ground] and simply pushing the trailer ... pas de problem. BTW we are 74 & 72 and I have had the CABGs et al.
And you will find Phil Hodgson of CMF very very accommodating.
I have no commercial interest - just very pleased with the trailer.
Thanks to Ned and Daedalas for their reponses.
I have also looked at easy lifter and eze tow like you Ned and agree that there are possible issues with them, thats why I am looking at both Armitages and CMF Side Loading motorcycle trailers.
Both offer a shorter length trailer, idea for Ferry Crossing costs.
The Armitage trailer seems built a bit sturdier than the CMF by looking at their web pages, but this is also reflected in the cost, Armitage £646 compered to CMF at £425 to £495 (2 width sizes).
Thats why I sought advice from this forum, to see if people had
(a) any experience with these companys;
(b) actually purchased these items;
(c) possible problems with towning
I have owned a side load trailer and found it impossible to reverse, even with a reversing camera! the simple fact is, that the shorter the trailer the harder it is to reverse.
My advice is try before you buy and if your motorhome can take the weight then get a scooter rack instead.

Thanks for your comments Kim.
I guessed that these would be a problem when it came to reversing but I suppose even an A frame isn't easy.
We've been carrying scooters for over 17 years now without a problem but the recent change of van with lesser payload is making me think again at the moment.
We have a trip to the weighbridge planned tomorrow so this will finally decide the matter.
How is the Hydratrail/Easilifter performing?
Just bumping this again - Im looking at the Armitage side loading trailer at the moment and wondered if anyone has got one or purchased one recently, and what they think of it.
