Hi all,
searched the genny thread and good stuff.

As I carry the genny around most of the time in the Garage ,thought about making a sound proof box from ply and foam pointy things.

What tickness rubber do you think I`d need to stop vibes through the floor?

would run a seperate flexi pipe for the exhaust gas to outside and a small fan for cooling if needed and a dedicated cable to the lecky point.

Pain in the ass putting it outside a locking it to a tree etc , what do you all think.

Am too tight to buy a proper onboard genny Surprised

Russell I think Sonesta has a generator permanently mounted underslung somewhere. Don't know how that affects noise level but when I was in her van (a beeaauutiful Burstner Elegance!) she had the genny running and it was very quiet - inside the van anyway! Laughing

Built in (or hung under) gennys have suspension but even so the vibration inside the van cannot be ignored.
