I got my AVTEX TV with my van and don't have any input cables to connect my Sat Box with.

It is one of the two sockets in the red box (not the top one).

I thought it might be this cable - but im not sure given the lower two sockets (green box) are 3.5mm sockets so the ones above don't look the same:

Any ideas?

I have e-mailed Avtex - but no response yet.

I would have thought it would have a scart lead. If not the has it got RCA in puts sockets that will be cloured yellow/red/white which can be used in stead of the scart.

Hi Andy,

No SCART or Composit sockets - as indicated in the picture one of those sockets is the AV input (other is the output).

It is a cable to fit this what I'm looking for.

My cable from the sat box to the tv is an ordinary co-ax. ie Ariel cable.

I've got an apple tree in my garden.

But none of this is of any use to the question I've asked Smile

I would think the 3 in the green box are the RCA in put.

But with out any colour code it is hard to say.

Included with the tv should have been a cable which goes into the A/V socket on the tv and terminates the other end with three phono plugs. The phono plugs go into the sat box.

If your sat box doesn't have phono outputs you'll need a scart to phono switched adapter, which you can get on Ebay for a couple of pounds. The switched type is important, as you need to select video out on the adapter. The unswitched ones are video input only.

If you haven't got the correct cable you need to get one from Avtex. I've heard that the Maplin ones won't work.

Thanks Roly - just as I thought. The TV came with the van - but I didn't get these extra cables. I have e-mailed avtex but no reply yet.

Cheers,

A
