I am contemplating going "digital" at last. I currently use 2 Zoom Lenses on my Nikon film camera and am very satisfied with their quality. Is there any way that they can be used on a digital camera body and thereby keep down my initial "conversion" costs?

I have been making similar enquiries at camera shops of late. I have a Pentax SLR with three lens and have been told the only digital SLR which can do this is made by Samsung. On pricing the adapter ring, it was not much cheaper than buying another zoom lens for the digital camera! I have abandoned the idea.

I changed canon slr for digital eos.
i am using the old lenses with no trouble.

Maybe if you get a camera with the same mounting and contacts you will be ok. You will probably have to stay with the same make.

with nikon you should not have any problems as long as they are at least ai mount onwards. I use some excellent optics that are 30 years old

I bought a Kood adaptor for my Nikon DSLR that allows me to use old high quality screw thread lenses (in manual mode), but I think they make adaptors for almost anything.
