Easy access into Brugge, Walk, Cycle, No.11 Bus around corner or cab.

The Aire is too Expensive.

You can park along certain Stretches of the ring road (I have maps if you want them?).

Brugge Aire if you want it

The Price ranges according to season from €15-€22.50 + Extras

Memling is far better value for money with a real shower block.

Aire is great situation, easy walk into town - pay your money, take your choice! Bear in mind Brugge is horrendously expensive for everything - last Dec we found mussels & chips were €19-21, go over into France and they're €9-11.

We've just returned from Memling, our second visit there. I have to say I won't be going back.

No water on site at the moment except from a tap inside the boiler room. Perfectly understandable in the present weather but the tap is inaccessible after 12.30 which is a little poor I think.

6 and 10 amps on here, the site was virtually empty when we went and yet, we were given, to start with, a 6 amp pitch. Not knowing this, my mate put the heating on and bang, tripped the switch. Fair enough, the warden came right away to reconnect but he would'nt leave the box open so we could access it He allowed us all to move to 10amp but when I asked him what would happen if we tripped the switch after he left at 12.30, he just shrugged his shoulders.

No heating in the main washroom and it certainly looks well used now and somewhat grubby, in fact, I never saw anyone cleaning, the bins were not emptied the whole time we were there.

All this for an advanced fee of 20 Euro's a night. We did meet a party of Brits already there and they said that it had cost them 30 Euro's. I don't think they pre booked tho.

It seemed to be a lot of money for very little service. Not the site it was 4 years ago.

We paid 20 euro in October, did not pre book, would agree not a great site but would still prefer to aire which can be more expensive.

We visit Brugge about 3 or 4 times a year. Been going for 20 odd years.

Chimay Beer

Le Touquet FRANCE Around €6-8 a Glass
Brugge Around €2-4

There are plenty of Restaurants around the outskirts of Brugge that serve high quality if not Gourmet food starting at around €5 per course. There is one in Brugge we like to visit and the Fresh food is cooked on an indoor BBQ in front of you.

But if you eat in the Square, expect to pay about 3 time what you pay down the side streets. A lot of this is due to very high rents and the profit has to come from somewhere to pay these.

Far to easy to make a blanket statement about somewhere.

Like "the south of France is so expensive".

Yes if you eat on the Habour Front of St. Tropez, it is. But if you go inland or look about. Even eating out in Monaco can be affordable.

"my mate put the heating on and bang, tripped the switch"

Now I think you may be over emphasising here. Did it really go Bang? Or was it just a near silent click?
