If they are AC 240V 50Hz output then you would need very sophisticated kit to get/keep them synchronised.

Echoing Pippin - NO!

Colin

[EDIT - before retiring, I mad a living out of producing auto sync/auto load share units - it is nigh on impossible to do so on small sets without spending a disproportionate amount of money]

Its not so difficult for generators where the 50Hz frequency is NOT produced as a direct result of rotation. Modern generators produce electricity at one voltage and frequency both can vary then use an inverter to produce accurate frequency and power. Synchronising them is a doddle (electronically speaking) as one generator becomes the master, controlling frequency relative phase and voltage.

I agree through that in general its not practicable.

But the Hondas do do it. So isn't it a case or reading the manual?

Of course the answer is no until the manual reveals all.

You can do it with 2 Honda generators in the EU series, provided they are both the same model (i.e. 2 x EU10i or 2 x EU20i etc.). It requires a dedicated Honda connecting cable to do it.

Since Kipor is a Honda ripoff, I'm surprised they haven't copied the twinning option also.

NO

The Kipor web site says no for the IG1000 and IG1000s invertor generators.

Its always technically possible but unless its been considered at the design stage of inverter generators is a practical no-no.

Conventional electro-mechanical generator sets can be "phased up" with light bulbs and a big switch but that task is normally done by a professional, not joe public on a camp site.

Next time get a bigger generator.
