Got the new hilite up over the weekend and took a load of photos of my beautiful granddaughter Erin. These are my favourite. Hope it is not too many:

The rocking chair came from my Aunt's house when She passed away last year. It is an Ercol, which as some of you know make very high quality furniture. None of the antique nor second hand furniture shops wanted it. I only noticed it when my Brother was about to give it to a charity and fortunately stopped it going!

For those interested in Studio Photography:
The hilite is so easy to use. I found it better with two lights inside, one at each end. I think it would also be better again with two lights low down outside pointing at the bottom of the hilite. I will also be buying the vinyl train for it this week.
What are you talking about?, I love the shots.
Artona used to display photo's on here with a similar effect but I didn't get the answer after enquiring.
Are you talking about special lights or software or whatever?
I really do like the effect

I am very pleased with the shots, but the small changes I will do are going to make the work on them much easier and from a photographers point of view add that small amount to give them an even bigger punch.
I added information on the set up for those who are into photography but understand it is possibly confusing if you don't know what a Lastolite Hilite is:
Basically it has zippers down the side and you put your studio lights inside so it is lit very bright. A really great product and portable.
There is then a white backdrop on the floor and additional light behind my head and to the right. This is the one that is obviously lighting the subjects.
Lovley photos Chris. I wondered how you maaged the white background.
