Hi a friend of ours needs to go to Frankfuert 5 april for a week to a trade show. All the hotels and B and b are booked but the venue has a campsite for tourers. are their any english or Italian speaking hire centers near by for motor homes or caravans ,Also would it be cheaper to hire from here and travel over. Six of one and half a dozen of another!

Hire here and you have the cost and time of getting there but you will have the pleasure of the journey and an extended holiday plus you will be dealing with a known english supplier.

Hire there and you have the cost of flying and subsequent agro in airports and an unknown supplier who is unlikley to be near the venue.

With respect, unless the company has very good technical English, or your friend has very good technical German I think there may be a problem.
There may be a benefit from driving a LHD Camper, or you friend may be more secure in a RHD.

We have used both these companies in Frankfurt previously and would recommend either. Modern vans, all staff spoke good English, reasonably near to airport. Hire price much cheaper than UK.

There is a member on MHF now who has a long term rental from McRent and speaks very highly of them........They will do airport pick-up and drop.

Choice......Hire in UK, take ferry, drive to Frankfurt and come back .............cost and time? A lot!

Flight from say Manchester, Mid-April..........£30 return.
