Chassis was actually built 2006.
Wow. I'm stunned, but thanks for putting me straight.
Was the chassis and cab spec really basic then? I'd have thought remote central locking was the first thing to be included in any cab upgrade, and I'd have assume Hymer went for better quality than basic (?)
Sound like your answer is more accurate to the OP than mine.

I would say think yourself lucky that it doesn't have it, as it is something else just to go wrong.
Our previous MH didnt have it, Hymer 07 reg(2006 model) and not a problem whatsoever, our new one(04 hymer s class) has it and guess what, it is not working, probably wont bother getting it fixed as all doors lock/unlock manually.
A bit like electric drivers window, another stupid add on.
Paul.

Might be repetitive but there was a top tip on here. If it has central locking and it's not been used for a while then the battery goes flat in the remote. You have to open it and start it with the spare then change keys and the ignition will charge the battery in the remote. That's assuming it's been idle. I read that on here last year and guess what? Within a month my remote battery went flat and remembered the tip.
