Hi,

Just an update on something I mentioned in another skiing thread.

WE got of on our first skiing trip this year last tuesday. Lost track of time 25th I think!!!! We were aiming for a new Ski site at Les Rousses in the high jura which has not been mentioned so far in the skiing section. Being retired we were not in a hurry so we stuck to N roads and eventually got there on thursday. Weather was good and we booked into the campsite Les three birds ( in French) The skiing was excellent as a cautionary warm up for the alps. Not good for experienced 'Black run Bods' but plenty of good long greens, blues and reds. In fact, quite a few of the greens would rate blue and red elsewhere. Dead cheap on the tarrifs 18 euros for the day for an adult. The campsite is about 800 metres away from the station but the ski buses come past every half an hour. WE had a bitterly cold stay and although it was not too bad during the day it was cold (outside) at night. I will put on a more detailed report on motorhomeski.com with pics when we get back. We are now at Grand Bornand, on the campsite as the weather is cold and the money is worth it for the 10 amp leccy and the swimming pool. The snow is really good here and very deep and you know when the skiing is good as everyone glides past quietly on the fresh snow, even the snowboarders.

I think we will stay here until the after the weekend and let the really cold weather (-27) through before nudging up to Les Saisies.

May come back through Switzerland ( yes I know we have to pay but we are going down to italy in may) and call in at Friebourg, in germany, for some retail therapy for Linda and a couple of days at the Thermes.

What you doing Wilse?..................

Keep em waxed.................. Ned

Hi Ned

We arrived at the Stellplatz in Freiburg this afternoon after 12 days in St Anton where we found the Blue runs were a little too Red for us after many years going to La Plagne, I also didn't get to use the snow chains I bought from you a couple of years ago, but I was glad to have them aboard.

We were thinking of going to the Thermes tomorrow and wondered if you can park the camper there?
