Holidaying in S/W Scotland
Message:
Considering spending a week in S/W Scotland at either Maybole or Drummore. Does anyone have any experience of the Caravan Club sites called "The Ranch" at Maybole and "New England Bay" at Drummore?
We are 2+2 family (children aged 3 & 5). Thanks in advance.

sorry I can't say about either of the two sites you mention but I know this area well.
Portpatrick is a lovely fishing village and there is a camp site close by.
Not keen on Mabole, it has a nice beach but not much more.
Drumore is lovely and all there are sites around the beautiful bay of Luce.
Hope you go and have a great time, this an often forgotton and passed by part of Scotland.. enjoy

If you want a beach type holiday for the children New England Bay couldnt be better. Direct access from the site, no worries over traffic and it is sheltered, rather than being facing the Irish Sea. The rabbits will facinate the children and there is as far as I remember some sort of playroom
As Jim says this area is often forgotton and we tend not to tell people about its so it stay nice and quiet with few tourists !!!!!!!! joking, we shall spend some time in this area later in year
