Browsing and considering that day when I have the finance in place (poss 6 weeks) - and planning for the long journeys next year. Anyway getting back to the point.
Looking at Mobile.de site (yet again) and saw Dethlefs which there does seem to be few of.......... strangely enough in my price range. Have any of you knowlegeable people owned one or have any views good or bad on Dethlefs, reliability and interior build etc - these would be models around 92 - 94.
Reason for question is they look OK but as there does seem to be lots of them, either they are not very good and people have off loaded them or they were and still are very popular Motorhomes on the continent.
Last question - has any of you well travelled people every been employed on Holiday camp sites - thought has passed through my mind of doing this in the summer and travelling in the winter.
Please let me know..................
Regards
Dave

Freind of mine currently upgrading to an 'A' Class esprit 04 model costing in excess of £50k!
.
He is not the sort of bloke who parts with his money easily and has done his research.
Holiday site work is not for married folks (your profile is not filled in that dept.)! an application form is available for site managers within the Caravan and Camping Club, always seem to be looking for suitable folk.
Regards Dave.

Well, very good luck to him - well out of my league - but will find something - just wondered about their standing in the Motorhome community.
As for camp site manager both wife and I have itchy feet and will take most work to support our travels. Think in my case have now been in this town longer than I anticipated - travelled around for 22 yrs courtesy of HM and time to start wandering again.
No house to worry about as we rent............. both our respective families are grown so really nothing to make us stay - wife is Scottish I am Welsh living in a small Yorkshire town - nice enough place and can always come back - small 4 berth site 2 minutes from my door can always return and park up there for awhile.
Another reason for getting the right m/h as it will eventually be our home. Hence all the questions.
