Freecom DVB USB Freeview Thingy

Bought a freecom DVB USB plug in unit for my HP Laptop.
This seemed to work ok initially but when I was in France I re-tuned to the French Network.
Success - worked fine for an hour then weak signal came up.
Status ariel.
Since then i have had difficulty getting reception..
Has anybody had any experience with this unit???

hi steve.i've got one of these and i'm well impressed but you have to have a rally good signal/aerial...i bought a digital aerial at a car boot for a fiver and it works great especially as i've mounted it on to three old tent poles...the status aerial is c***!! dont even bother with it..hope this helps..cheers slaphead
