Subject:
New Gaslow Gauges
Message:
We had a twin 13kg Gaslow system fitted earlier this year and have certainly had the benefit of it during two months abroad over the summer.
However, our previous calor bottle had a Gaslow float gauge fitted, whereas the new ones don't have any kind of gauge.
Now I know, in theory, we don't really need one, as long as we keep the bottles topped up, however, I noticed at the Pickering show that the system Gaslow were demonstrating had little gauges attached to each of the cylinders.
I asked if these could be retrofitted to our system but was told, emphatically...NO.
I find this a bit hard to believe and wondered if any of you more knowledgeable types out there knew otherwise - after spending over £600 on what we thought was the 'dogs whatsits' system, I'd have thought it would be upgradeable.
Thanks in advance.

They are literally float valves. I've not seen inside either bottle but perhaps the threads are different to attach them. A cynic would suggest that had been done on purpose.
