Hi Frank

Ok, Like you just said....I know this is not that early, but I was on here at 7.15am today....just did not think to post in here.... and I was also on at 1.15 am last night too.

For the last 15 years my normal working day always ended well after midnight and started at 6.45am in the morning and although I sometimes managed a once a week lie in that was 7 days a week ( no day off)..... but having stopped working for a living it is ages since I have been forced to manage on 5 hours a night ...but I still do it... I just cannot get out of the habit of late nights and early mornings.

.... does anyone else out there manage with only 5 hours sleep?

Mike

I think its a getting older thing. I've done lots of 24hr stints with no or only a little sleep when I was in the army and lots of late nights and early mornings with Trinity House, but its different now. Last friday morning I woke up at 02.30, wide awake straight away and sat down at the computer dragged loads of posts together and wrote a blog (click below). Around 2pm I went and had a little doze but stayed up to a 'normal' time that night. So late nights, early mornings, and naps, old age beckons, but this started early for me.

When I was a project manger for TH I often used to wake up in the night with my planning head on. I used to keep a notebook at my bedside. I also used to grab a doze (power nap!) in the afternoon. My computer faced away from the office and had a huge screen all I had to do was put up my excel solar model or my financial control spreadsheet on the screen and people kept a wide berth, after all I might talk to them about it Smile .

Still sat here in front of the computer - it may be in the office, or on the laptop if I manage to get away from the office.
