Hi guys, just joined your forum, we don't have a motorhome yet but we are getting one, we just need another year getting straight financially after Heidi having a change of life and going to university to become a nurse.

So a little bit about us; Heidi and Al, married for 23 years and now lived in Kettering for just over 10 years after spending 11 in Germany and a few in Didcot. We have 2 lovely kids both in full time education still but wanting thier own space, Lauren is 17 and Corey is 16. We also have a fluffy warrior, Millie, a West Highland Terrier.

We've talked about getting a motorhome for years now, next year is the year. We are planning on hiring one for a week in Scotland later on this year.

Hopefully we'll get loads of info over the next 12 months to help us buy the right motorhome, i don't want to get the wrong one!

Hello and Welcome,

Sounds an interesting career!

Don't worry about buying the wrong one. The first one we bought was a compromise. Though we did manage 6 or 7 countries, 36,000 miles and a great deal of fun in it before we found the right one! (The one we have now).

Good luck,
TM.

welcpme Al & Heidi; hiring is a good option to get to know how you'll like it, and how things work. Somebody on here hires MH's in Scotland, will try to find him.

Please consider paying the £10 to be a subscriber - it will allow you to access all the site , search and correspond with other members. Cool

Yesterday was history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And Today is a gift. Question im most asked "Why jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane"? There are 2 answers, Because the door was open! And there are NO perfectly good aeroplanes!

At last someone else from Kettering, hello and welcome!

If you are looking for a good sized van for the 4 of you my friend hires hers out and she is only in Corby, van is not yet 3 years old and immaculate.

Good luck and you will have great fun both on here and in the van.

Thanks Mandy, i reckon we are looking to hire one in Scotland, i have a fuel card for my car and it's got to be at least £250 round trip in fuel to northern Scotland?

We're at the NEC on Friday so will look for hiring options there.

Where in Kettering are you?, we're on the leisure village, Wells Close.
