Information:Alderstead Heath Caravan Club Site has a picturesque setting that you and your family will find ideal for a relaxing holiday break. Surrounded by rolling wooded countryside and situated near the Pilgrims Way, there are many lovely walking trails - in particular across the North Downs - to explore at your leisure. The caravan site offers the best of both worlds - the proximity of its location to London (a mere 35 minutes from Merstham) - makes this a great choice as a base to explore the non-stop activities of the capital. All pitches are level at Alderstead Heath Caravan Club Site to ensure your maximum comfort and convenience. Golfing enthusiasts will be delighted as there are several golf courses in the immediate area. The caravan site is also an ideal location for exploring much of Sussex, Kent and Surrey. With a plentiful variety of day trips to choose from, options include family theme parks, National Trust properties such as Chartwell, some beautiful gardens and several racecourses. Denbies Wine Estate at Dorking is another nearby attraction that is well worth the visit.

Do make sure you follow the Club directions to get to this site. The sat nav route is as rough, narrow and nerve-racking as they say - and we did it in a car.

We used this site on our way to the tunnel so that we could have a family get-together in Croydon. We were pleasantly surprised how rural and quiet it was though, as above, it would not be our choice for a base to see London because of lack of handy public transport. It would however make a good overnight for those coming from some distance to the tunnel: it took us about 1 hour 20mins from pitch to check in at the tunnel.

nice relaxing site, usual CC standard, mix of hardstanding and grass, play area and outdoor games for kids. Downside for us was no public transport in easy walking distance.
