Wirral Scouts have established a camp at Wirral Museum

On Saturday 1st. December Wirral Museum will open and host an Exhibition celebrating the International Centenary of Scouting and the local Wirral Centenary which is on January 24th. 2008.
It will be opened by the Mayor of Wirral Councillor P.Gilchrist.
The Exhibition covers the small beginnings on Brownsea Island and the enthusiasm in which it was picked up in Birkenhead less than a year later which resulted in 2 of the oldest Scout troops being formed.
The Active,International and comradeship dimensions are covered as well as the future and all modern technology can bring to the largest co-educational youth movement in the World.
The Museum is open Tuesdays to Sundays 10-5 up to March 2008
And admission is free!
Transport information 5 minutes from Hamilton Square Station,10 minutes from Woodside Ferry and at the end of the A41.
