Number Of Pitches:58
Information:Nice all year site with very handy access to the city. All modern facilities and most pitches are hardstanding. No recycling containers available so recyclable items are either dumped or taken home. Water taxi some 150 metres from rear gate run into town centre. Pub also by taxi place serves reasonable food. Apparently pre booking essential. Access to site is sharp turn avoiding coaches discharging/loading visitors to ss Great Britan. Mhs to 33 foot maximum accepted.

Had a great weekend, walked into the city on Friday and Saturday. The stewards were really helpful and not fussy, just a few simple instructions on how to pitch and left you to find a pitch and give them the number. There are now recycling containers behind the toilet block.

Site still busy, booking necessary at weekends. Had heard several good reports about the site and facilities and decided to visit. Great position for exploring Bristol and only a short bike ride (all be it uphill!) to visit the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Facilities excellent, plenty of very hot water for showers etc. All hardstanding pitches, broken up by the occasional small patch of grass.
The site is very exact about how you must park your van and although I understand the reasons, for me, it ruined the spontaneity and excitment of arriving at a new site.

Hi I have not visited Baltic Wharf but JockandRita have and they say that the Bus Service No 500 does the rounds every 20 mins, stopping right outside the gate of the site, and takes in several stops in and around Bristol. For the non bus pass qualifiers, it is currently 1.60p per adult return.
They used it this afternoon, and found it very handy indeed.

Stopped here middle of June 09, superb and friendly wardens
Clean and tidy site
Very well positioned for nearby food at Cottage Inn, walks along the Avon, SS Great Britain

Would also recommend visiting the @Explore it Bristol centre if you have children

All hard standing now. Food in the pub next door is very good .SS Great Britain 10 mins walk or 25 mins walk in to city centre with some very good pubs and loads of shops !!!!! Must book ahead weekends and holiday periods, busy in the week but still ring in advance. Worth the high site fees.
