Site was closed due to flooding, looks very nice now, barrier entrance only with credit card. Couldn't check loos and showers as locked off. Always enjoyed staying here, great for cycling into Angers and stunning park on way with beach swimming.

We passed this site early april 2012. It was closed for total refurbishment with a graand opening on 27th April. It looked impressive from the entrance gate with tarmacing etc in progress.

Including electric hookup I think it was about 10.50 euros a night. Right on the river and very convenient cycle path into Angers. The fruit and veg man doesn't take no for an answer easily. Joy bought a load of cherries which she was unable to eat quickly enough before they went off.

One of my favourite yet!!
Had great weather that always helps, right on side of cycle track which I have included in a couple of pics. 4 over weight adults and a 9 year old managed to cycle into Angers on a very hot day with very little pain involved.

The cycle path the other way is a little more interesting but the children will love it. Just in case you are tempted do no go up under the little bridge on the right, it is one long hill for about a mile and half. We rode full length of this path and ended up in lovely village with a bar!!

Going back this Easter we liked it so much.

We stayed here in August 09...price with EHU 10 euros collected at night by the guy with a receipt book..he also returns in a morning to get the late arrivals
There is a supermarket 5 mins away a Bakers van comes round at 8.30/9.00am every morning and some enterprising teenagers sell fresh veg at the entrance of an evening!!
Good spot great ambiance by the look of the place possibly an Ex Municipal site

Tremendous aire that is technically a "Motorhome-only municipal camp-site". Space for 30 or so motorhomes, including some spaces large enough for RVs. Each space has it's own piece of grass (some larger than others), so no limitations on use of awnings, chairs etc that some aires experience. No limit on number of days that you can stay. Price has now gone up to 7.50 Euros per night. Site accepts tent campers as well. Ablutions block is pretty spartan, but has efficient and clean toilets and free showers, plus a washing machine and tumble dryer. Located on the Maine river near its confluence with the Loire. Possible to walk or cycle up and downstream. Angers is eight KM upstream. Bus stop right outside the site which costs a ridiculously cheap 1.20 Euros return fare to Angers.

Just to add it is 4 euros extra if you want hook up. One of the best aires we have stayed on for space and location plus excellent amenities.

Just to add, out of season, this aire is free (17th Sept - 31st May) with
limited facilities, no hook up.
Bread van with the noisey horn comes at 8.30am. very relaxing and peacefull, shops just a short walk.
