Number Of Pitches:435
Information:We stayed here in April 2005 and found it to be well situated with a bus service laid on from the main gate of the campsite to the Defense Area of Paris. Facilities were good with shops, restaurants all on site. Each pitch had a gravel surface and was sufficiently large enough for us to get our >6m van on and we also saw a few RVs on site. The pitches had metal chains that could be fastened to restrict access to the pitch (Padlocks were given with keys when checking in) Nice and Quiet with plenty of walks for dogs nearby such as the large running track / park across the road and the huge racecourse nearby.

This is a great site for visiting Paris. The bus leaves the gate evry half hour for Port Maillot where you can easily take the tube. Also its quite close to a public bus route to the same stop at Port Maillot.
It was slightly confusing on arrival this year as they have swopped the supermarketand office round so now the office is on your left as you arrive. Also the arrangements are poor for arrivals as the barrier prevents access until you have an access code. This means that if more than 2 outfits arrive at around the same time there is a danger of backing up on to the very busy road.

We were disappointed by the toilet facilities as the cleaning and maintenance seems to be going worse each year.

They have now abandoned the idea of the chains and locks across the pitch entrance, which is a good thing as they were in a poor state of repair. Also you have to atate the length of stay on arrival and pay immediately.

Its best to take a pitch away from the road as the traffic can be very noisy especially early in the morning.

All things considered its worth staying here if you want to visit Paris.

They have changed the name from Bois de Boulogne to Camping Paris. Excellent shuttle bus to Porte Maillot metro station, every 15min before 12.00, then every 30 mins to 18.00, then every 15mins until 00.45
Low bridge height is 3.45m
Reception seemed a little disorganised, took 45mins to book in, the next day which was a public holiday, people where waiting well over an hour.

Just come back after 3 nights at this campsite. As it was February it was quiet and we would definitely return. The toilet block was spotlessly clean and the site was generally tidy. Cost us 80 euros for 3 nights but it was so easy to get into Paris, just a walk around the corner to the bus stop, 5 mins on the bus to the metro and then another 10mins or so to wherever you're going. It's near to the Eiffel tower and Champs Elysee so very convenient. Easy to find, although we did drive to it on a Sunday, and easy to get out of Paris afterwards/

We stayed here late Sept 2010 . . whilst I agree it could do with a 'freshen up' its no worse than many other sites we've stayed on, as mentioned try to get a pitch on the river side of the side rather than the road side - its busy & can be a touch noisy if you are a light sleeper!
Cost was 31euro per night - but considering its on the edge of Paris - not too bad . . if you stay at 'Camping International' outside Paris it MAY be a touch cheaper but you then have the rail fare into Paris to add on.

The only reason for staying at this site is its convenience for visiting Paris. If we were going again, we would choose a site a little further out and spend a bit more time on the train.
It is one big transit camp, noisy , unkempt, understaffed and expensive. The easternmost toilet block is a disgrace, and all the blocks had only tepid water.
Satnav access, coming from the A16, was easy, but be warned that there is now no left turn on exit from the site, so Miss Garmin and we had to find another route out of Paris.
If you decide to stay here, we would recommend you smile and pay the extra for a "comfort" pitch. 10A, nearer the facilities and enough room to erect an awning without touching the sides.

Flo and I stayed here in March 2009. Whilst yes, it is a little expensive, it is very convenient for Paris. Secure with friendly staff. You may need levelling blocks dependent on which pitch you have.

A little difficult to get to if approaching from the north (A1) as you have to skirt the peripherique and conquer the Porte Maillot 'roundabout' (check out Google Earth to see what I mean!!!).

Leaving to the West is easy - just head south along the bank of the Seine until you hit the A13 and you are away.

Site lays on a half-hourly bus service (not 15 mins) from the gate each morning but only runs to the Porte Maillot Metro in the mornings. In the afternoon it reverses the service from the Metro back to the camp UNTIL LAST BUS AT 00:15!!!!! Ensure you purchase your Paris Visite ticket from the Reception beforehand (valid on bus, metro and RER).

Toilets were clean and warm when we visited, although could do with a lick of paint - I have seen worse!!

Cannot comment on MH service facilities as we didn't use them - we only stayed one night.

Although on the edge of the city, it was a peaceful night and sleep was good.

Visited this site recently and whilst it is big, with a large staff and excellent front of house and also very expensive, we found the toilet facilities to be very tired and seedy and quite small for the numbers of bodies using it. Open all year round and charging the earth, it should be equivalent to municipal sites with far better facilities. The chain security system on each MH pitch seemed strange. We left ours off, went out and came back hours later to find the staff had put it on.
