| Information: | Independent site close to town of Valkenburg (500m). Easy walk down into town. Well laid out with individual pitches, many of them with hedged boundaries. Shop, scooter hire, brasserie & take away on site. Free use of nearby pool/fitness centre. The site is on a hillside (yes, hills in Holland!) but the pitches are level. Different grades of pitches available: - standard pitch with no EHU - standard pitch with EHU - 'Comfort' pitch with EHU, TV hookup, water, waste (and some of these were provided with hammocks) A word of warning - DO NOT attempt to drive into the site entrance if you are coming up the hill from the town - the turn is far too sharp. Instead, drive on up the hill for about a Km to a roundabout and then return back down the hill to turn right into the site. It's a narrow access road. I have said 'no' to RVs as the corners on site are very tight but please check with the site. Note that my pitch had reverse polarity. MH Service Point on left hand side just as you enter the site (the sign said 1 Euro for water but I just turned on the tap and the water came out!). | |
| Attractions Nearby: | Valkenburg is a very pleasant town that seems to be a bit of a holiday destination for the Dutch. Pretty buildings, chair lift, water park, theme park, cycling. Loads of cafes, bars etc. Worth a visit at any time of the year (there's a Christmas market in the town). | |
