We stayed here for a night going south and a night coming back north. A few points to add to the info given by Bognormike: There is a new laundry room with a washing machine, but no dryer. All pitches appeared to be grass and many would need levellers. It is about a 1 km steep downhill walk into the village of St Marcel where there are a few shops including a bakers and butchers. | |

good sanitaires - full bathroom in one, plus indvidual showers & toilets. A bit basic otherwise, mainly fixed units on site. A sod of a place to get to - do NOT rely on sat nav for directions, it will try to take you up narrow steep lanes! Follow the signs from town (by Intermarche) and keep going up hill (past the Mairie on left) - keep going up, and round a tight right hand hairpin, site is down a lane on the right. weird place, but good views across Seine valley, and very quiet. | |

We stayed at this site for a visit to Giverny. As original review states, there aren't many places in the area. This site is quite basic, no pool, shop, restaurant etc but it is high up in the hills above Saint Marcel and Vernon with great views over the Seine valley. It is about 1km outside Saint Marcel centre and 4km from Vernon so you really do need your own transport to get about. Although the original review says that the toilets etc are basic, the site now has a new Portakabin type block with very good showers, toilets and washing facilities. These are kept very clean, they are cleaned at least twice a day. Staff at the site are very friendly and helpful. Very reasonable rates as we paid about 13 Euros per night for the motorhome with 8A hookup and two of us. | |
