Number Of Pitches:Unknown / N/A
Information:From here you can catch a small ferry across the Mosel to the Deutsches Eck from where you can stroll along the river banks, catch a river cruise, walk into the old town or catch the tourist "road train" for a quick tour of the main sites of Koblenz. The "road train" is wheelchair friendly but the ferry is not but it is not too far to walk to the nearest river bridge and into town. Site can be a little noisey due to barges on the river and a railway line on the opposite bank of the Rhine.

After driving through a grotty part of Koblenz, it was a pleasure to see such a nice site and its situation at the confluence of the Rhine & Mosel. We found the pitch size fine in our small motorhome and, on the 2nd row from the river (€3 cheaper!) the view was fine. The 2 blocks are super - washing up area outside but covered, inside room with 2 hot plates for cooking and sinks for washing, showers, toilets, dog shower - all excellent and very new. Small passenger ferry across the river to Koblenz very close to site (€1 per passanger). We paid €55 for 2 nights with electric hook up but we felt it worth it for the clean facilities. Also the bar/restaurant do pleasant breakfasts on their veranda which were proving popular.

July 2011 - Visited this site only to go into Koblenz. Ideal for this, but nothing else. Pitches are tiny. The major plus point is the toilet/shower block are the best I have seen in Germany. The outlook from the site, if you can get a pitch is amazing. Price for 10 people for one night was €11110. Metro outside the site.

Just tried to book here, but I received an automated email saying that due to recent floods, the site will not re-open until the beginning of July 2011.

We only live up the road in Dsseldorf though and do hope to visit Koblenz soon, so will hopefully be able to provide a useful review later this summer...

It was a pretty big flood though - The water level was raised 6 meters at it's peak!

We had this site marked for a stayover in September 2010.. However on arrival all the local signs are blanked out !.. There are numerous roadworks close by and we found one sign that stated site was closed from end of August 2010 till April 2011.... Never made it to the camp gate due to all the roadworks.... I would avoid till after April...

Stayed here in june 09. Very busy but tidy site. Excellent for trips to old Koblenz and the castle across the Rhein. Facilities still dated but working ok. Ferry working 8 till 8 but as peedee says walking across bridge not too bad. Lot of building/repair work going on with hardly a road not dug up. Netto Supermarket (subsiduary) opened within 200mtrs. Price for MH +2 person and a dog but no EHU was 17 Euros per night
