Large sosta in the beautiful Italian town of Cannobio. Toilet block still available. Price had increased to 15Euro per might, but still well worth it for the town.

The price is 15E per night. There's toilets a shower and fresh water. There is also somewhere to empty your toilet. Best to follow the road signs as my sat nav wanted to take me down a very tight road. The town itself is lovely and the lake edge is beautiful. Well worth a visit.

Visited on a cold foggy weekend in January. the place was deserted when we arrived around midday but by the end of the night there were 4 vans on the site. No sign of a barrier but the pay station is still there. Toilets cleaned each morning but no heating so the 'on board' facilities were more attractive. We found that the drive over water disposal point was difficult to use because our 7m van couldn't get level enough to drain properly. Getting back out of the town is more difficult, you leave the sosta on to a one way system and there is a very tight turn to make which is impossible without a bit of back and forth juggling.
We found a smashing restaurant, I have lost its name but it is on the road angled down from the Pironi hotel to the lake on the right hand side, the name begins with an S. On saturdays off season they do a regional cooking 'special'. We had Tuscan spit roast pork and potatoes with as much sangoveise wine as you wanted for 15 euros a head. The apple cake is well worth having as well. Very friendly staff, loud music in wine bar style top part but we were shown down to a quiet lower floor

Excellent Sosta. Toilets cleaned daily, even the shower was spick and span. Very busy in October and although the sign says 72 hrs maximum stay several Mh'ers were staying for weeks on end.

Great walks up around the back across the foot bridge with fabulous views of the lake and mountains. Plenty of large chestnuts in the woods. Price still 12 Euros per night but the services are free.

Room for large vans at the end of the drive. Very quiet with lighting at night. Easy walk into town and waterside
